The Breville BBL600XL Ikon 750-Watt 51-Ounce Blender is a very nice blender that makes a great addition to anyone’s kitchen. There are currently over 130 customer reviews on Amazon and by far the majority of them are 4 or 5 star reviews. Blenders are great ways to get in shape and stay in shape. They allow you to eat so much more healthy. It is easier to eat fresh fruits and vegetables instead of the processed foods that have totally taken over this country. The difference you will feel just from eating fresh foods such as fruit smoothies is amazing, you will feel healthier instantly and energized as well!
The Breville Ikon BBL600XL Blender features five different speed settings with pulse and also presets for crushing ice and making those healthy smoothies. There is a nice 51 ounce jar that is glass and is made resistant to scratching, chipping, and fogging. The measurement marking on the glass are very easy to read and there is also a digital timer that is backlit. The motor is a very powerful 750 watts that is easily capable of handling all your home blending needs.

After having two blenders that just didn’t cut it, I wanted to finally get our home a good, strong blender. The Breville Ikon BBL600xl Blender is easily the top blender we have ever had!
First, it is extremely powerful, you will not have any issues with blending ice or anything else that you want a blender for. It has a great setting just for smoothies, and it actually changes the speed itself and makes the perfect smoothie without you having to do anything. It then turns itself off when it is done making your smoothie, or any other presets, and it has a digital countdown timer so you know exactly how long till it’s done.
Maybe even the best thing about this blender though is that the container and blades are designed in a way that pretty much eliminates all the food that ends up stuck in the bottom of the blender. In fact, after using it a few times, I was pleasantly surprised to find NO unblended pieces of food at the bottom of the blender. Everything was blended.
Another nice bonus is the fact that this is easily the quietest blender I have ever used or heard. I don’t know how they did it because it has a very powerful motor, but it sounds great regardless.
The base and container are quite heavy and will stay put when you are blending. It giggles a little when blending on a high setting (there are sturdy rubber feet that help to reduce noise), but it won’t move on your counter. The container is made of thick glass, and you can wash the whole base in the dishwasher (the glass part in the bottom rack, the other parts in the top rack). The container lid has a sturdy ring that makes it very easy to pull off the tight-fitting lid. Don’t let the pics fool you: that little ring is thicker than it looks.
Some blenders have plastic containers and some have glass, like this one. The advantage of plastic is really just the (usually) cheaper cost and lighter weight. The disadvantage is that plastic containers may crack (as ours did) and leak plastic molecules into your food over time as the container ages. Most plastics are carcinogenic, so I like to avoid plastic containers if at all possible, since this one is glass, and very thick, it is relatively safe. The markings on the side of the container are easy to read, so it’s not difficult to use it as a measuring container when adding food, particularly liquids.
